StoryCorps is a national project to instruct and inspire Americans to record one another's stories in sound, conversations or interviews between people who are part of each others' lives.

A storybooth, which houses a small recording studio, can be booked for 40 minutes to record a story envolving two people. This can be an interview of a relative, a grandmother or an uncle, or of a person who has been a part of one's life, like the lady who's worked at the luncheonette down the block for as long as you can remember—anyone whose story the other wants to hear and preserve.

This is a great idea that could be used to record traditions that are passed on from one generation to the other orally with no written records involved. The MobileBooth is also a potential means of reaching more rural locations away from the large city centres or non-central cities.
